Issue with PCN from Britannia Parking

Hi guys,

Newbie here, and yes I've read through the guides however I'm not sure if this scenario is covered.

I received a parking charge from Britannia Parking for overstaying the allowed time of 2 hours - date of contravention was 02/02/2026, date of first letter was 09/02/2026.

A guy I used to work with started a parking charge appeals company (Parking Mate UK - enjoy the reviews on Trust Pilot…) so I thought I'd give him a chance and paid the £30 fee, uploaded all required info and thought that would be great. Except it's anything but - the support is via a Whatsapp number and the responses are usually non existant. I've chased the owner on there many times as well as on LinkedIn (I had a good relationship when I worked with him years ago) and he rarely replies to my messages.

Low and behold the deadline for paying the reduced fee passed, and then the final reminder arrived this week with a deadline of 11/03/2026. I've not yet paid the fee of £100, but should I just suck it up and pay it and accept that the appeals company has taken my money and not going to do anything for me now? Or is there still a chance I can challenge it?

Thanks for reading and for any advice you can provide
