PIP
Hello, my lovely brother passed away on Monday, he had applied for UC and PIP Claims but as yet they were unconfirmed. Is he/his executor still entitled to the back payment?

I would presume so - they would be due to the estate.

Sorry for the loss
When did they apply for each?
As applying for PIP & actually getting it are to different things (never a quick process) & often requires a phone assessment before any decision is made (unless terminal illness). Unlike UC which is more clear cut.
With UC if not yet confirmed, then the most would be 1 month payment & I would hazard a guess that would be if they had passed ID checks. If not then no idea how that would work.

Sorry for your loss. I am a little unsure whether you would get any PIP - perhaps ring then up.

When his case is finally picked up they will use the clam form to complete the report unless his had an appointee. So very well depends on what is on the form and any evidence sent in.
