Euro Car Parks Fine

I paid the daily fee of £5.25 charged by Euro car parks at a underground station car park shortly after I arrived at the car park rather than paying on my exit which was later the same day. I was charged a fine and my appeal to POPLA has been rejected on the grounds that I had entered a wrong date of entry (the previous day) and that I had therefore paid for the previous day when I had not parked instead of the actual day of parking. However, when making payment at the station car park, one does not enter any date of entry as you just enter your car registration number which it picks up and you them make the payment. The POPLA appeal rejection states the following;

While I appreciate that the appellant had attempted to comply with the parking contract, by entering the wrong start date and time their payment-permit purchased did not cover the date and time of parking.

POPLA were therefore incorrectly advised by Euro Car Parks that I had entered an incorrect date of entry and as there is no mechanism to appeal against a POPLA appeal rejection, please can someone advise me on the next steps that I should take.

    Ignore them, do not pay

    Ignore the powerless debt collectors letters that will follow

    Respond To the Letter of Claim giving you 30 days notice, as explained in the 2nd post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements

    Follow the advice in the newbies sticky thread in announcements, 2nd post, when you receive a Money Claim N1SDT pack from the CNBC in Northampton using MCOL

    Ps, there was no fine, just a pcn invoice from ECP
