We purchased a Samsung LE40M86BD from Curry's around three months ago, and it's excellent. The picture is very sharp and clear and the set was quite easy to set up. In fact our son has just bought a Samsung 26" LCD for his room.

The only thing I would change is that the standby light doesn't go off unless you unplug the set. As we're currently being encouraged to be 'green' I think that small point should have been considered by Samsung.

Before buying the set everyone seemed to rate Samsung over other manufacturers and we have no complaints.

    Good luck

ask or search over at avforums, as this tread will no doubt turn into a buy a hannspree or some such cheap !!!! tat.
  • I bought a LE40N87BD in May and it's very good. Plenty of different standard and HD connections so I can run my Wii and my PC etc through it without inconvenient plugging and unplugging of wires.

We bought a Samsung last January, picture good but sound quality is very variable. We need to keep audio on "speech" as there is a lot of vibration from speakers on all the other audio settings; only discovered this solution yesterday. I have been trying to get a response from dabs and Samsung for a month, but with no reply. So I couldn't recommend either for their customer support!
