How do I get Home Insurance comparison quotes for an empty probate property?
My late father's Home insurance will expire soon in May, and the current price is £51/mo for a 4-bed property, which seems extortionate. It used to be £57/mo, but this premium dropped to £51/mo after notifying the insurer the policyholder passed and property is unoccupied.
I've tried the Compare+ Tool but the questions are unsuitable for this situation. I can't select No for "Is this your main home?", or Nobody for "Who lives in your home?".
I'd rather not call around to get quotes as I'm deaf and Text Relay is slow and awkward.

Have you Googled "probate house insurance"? Seem to be a fair few suppliers.
Know nothing of them but there's this broker's site

Vacant property insurance is very niche, comparisons sites deal with mass market products not niche. Even if you look at something like insurance for small businesses which are much more common than vacant properties the vast majority of comparison sites are faking it and instead of doing comparison are simply using a broker called Simply Business to expose their panel to look like a comparison site but in reality all quotes are from one seller.
Some brokers do quote and buy for vacant properties, so it doesnt have to be done over the phone for all of them.

I don't know what compare+ is but typically unoccupied home insurance isn't on comparison sites. You need to use a broker. This question is a bit of an FAQ recently. You are about the 5th one that has asked in the last few weeks. So, you could look at those threads as they continued a range of providers and brokers.
