Evri, back to damaging parcels
Thank goodness for Simple delivery on this occasion.
I sent 2 items out about 5 days ago via SD using Evri, , both completely wrapped in bubble wrap, then further stiff card sealed like a new box), then packed in an outer box with more strong packing paper. Both arrived in pieces.
I have a message from ebay basically saying that any questions or queries will be dealt with by them.
These items could have been thrown across the car park safely, I pride myself on my packing, yet they look like they have been completely bashed to pieces. Yes the buyer will be compensated, but 2 more lovely vintage items now completely damaged and only fit to be thrown away.

Not just Evri.
I posted an unbreakable item in original box, and well wrapped in bubble wrap by Royal Mail.
I received a return request from the buyer as the box was damaged and it was bought as a gift for someone.
I pointed out that the box was undamaged when I photographed it - photos bore this out - and undamaged when I wrapped it in bubble wrap so the damage had occurred between me dropping the parcel off at the Post Office and being delivered to the buyer so it was a 'no fault' issue for both buyer and seller.
I contacted eBay and said this and they agreed.
They released my funds and refunded the buyer.
I'm sure RM tried to get it through the letter box and that caused the damage..
I agree about the waste of damaged vintage items.

I refuse to use Evri. I have much better luck with Royal Mail to be fair.

Well, just use whichever courier suits you…
I've had no issues with Evri deliveries (as a buyer) but my experience of RM as a seller is documented above.
Generally, RM has been OK.

They're all as bad as each other…
In the past week I have had the following:
RM bend an A3 cardboard envelope through the letter box, despite it saying 'do not bend'
APC leave something next to the shed which is literally next to the front door and it got wet so couldn't be used.
Evri leave a parcel in my shed but leave the door open.
DHL break the shed door by forcing something in that wouldn't fit.
Yodel ring the doorbell and ask where I wanted something left, then saying as it wasn't on their app they couldn't do it
And finally DHL (again) walking up to the front door, putting a card through saying sorry you weren't in so we couldn't deliver.. I was in.
All of the above is on CCTV, unless the big businesses start pushing back nothing is going to get resolved unfortunately
