Intelligent Octopus Go - not using Solar?!

First Post Name Dropper

I have IOG, myenergi Zappi, solar and a VW ID3. All was working well… I previously had it setup to charge overnight on the EV rate, ready to commute in the morning. If I was at home during the day, or at weekends, any solar was diverted by the Zappi, into the car. Nice and green. Only once the car was full would it then return to export. All good.

This all stopped working a week or so ago. It seems an update from IOG has necessitated a disconnect of the device and a reinstall. The octopus app now connects to the car, not the Zappi. So right now, the sun is shining and my car which needs about a 20% boost, will wait until tonight to charge…!

why have they done this, and is there a workaround? Seems bizarre.
