Happy Birthday Izzy from me too. Have a lovely day.
I am all but ready, waiting for our taxi to the station. Last time we went on the S to C train we had snow covered scenery, it.was beautiful. I don't think we will have that this trip! X

Morning all, thanks for today's start @Gers. Before I forget, Happy Birthday @TA and @Izzy. 🎂 🍾 Have a wonderful time.
After overnight rain it's now sunny, quite breezy, more showers due later today. Temperatures are still in double figures until Friday, then it's back to single ones for the weekend. Typical. 🙄 I saw my first bumble bee of the year this morning - I rather think he/she could be back in hibernation soon!
Last night I went to bed early and, having had a good rest, feel ready to tackle the day. I've had a quick look/try on of the summer tops and will be keeping them. Before I retired, colleagues in a customer facing situation had a corporate uniform whereas we back office staff didn't, although there was a fairly strict smart business dress code. We ladies did our best to brighten it up a bit as far as we were allowed (pretty scarves, a piece of jewellery etc); since then I've slowly been replacing the dull black/navy/grey with colours that are more flattering to an older me. Today I'll decide which T-shirts to let go of. It's fish pie and mixed veg for tea tonight and there's a large chicken leg to be cooked for tomorrow's stir fry. Other than that, it's just the normal day to day routine.
Nothing else to tell, so I'll wish everyone a peaceful and stress-free day. Take care. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.8 -

Hello everyone and thank you so much for all your kind thoughts.
Unfortunately dad had to go to hospital yesterday with catheter problems, he's ok now but last time I rang he was still waiting for transport home, he'll be getting more and more confused the longer he waits.
I spoke to the hospital doctor yesterday and said we don't want mam discharged back home, we want a new social worker and a reassessment….he was very sympathetic and asked the staff nurse to ring social services.
My brother has also given the occupational therapist a list of reasons why we don't think she will be safe at home.
Sorry if I told you all this yesterday, I'm not sure when I posted. I'm just about to leave to go to the hospital now.
TA I hope you have a lovely weekend and a happy birthday x
