Morning Gers and all to follow
Raining here for the moment but we are due some sun later, I am off to see O this morning and we have another PA coming for a trial day and an overnight stay, she will be shadowing me today, hopefully she will get on ok. I have said I will take him out today or tomorrow to get his mum a Mother’s Day gift and a card, I have told him he will have to hide them away till Sunday, he was very excited about the whole thing.Shopping being delivered tonight so dinner will be something included in the order I can’t remember what I have ordered but there will be something.
I have a follow up appointment tomorrow at the breast clinic so will see what they have to say and what the options are.
DP1 thinking of you xxx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all
After alot of rain earlier it's brightened up now. Got a washing load to hang out so glad it's going to be dry and sunny for the rest of the day.
DH has ordered me some cordless electric heavy duty pruning shears which I will enjoy trying out later when they arrive. Arthritis make it difficult to use the ordinary ones on certain bushes in the garden to prune.
A bit of housework later and then will continue to read a book by a new author, to me, called T G Reid. Anyone else read his books?
Hope things become a bit clear for you today @dp1
Have a good day all x

Morning folks and thanks GERS. I think hit and miss weather for today, then tomorrow the heavy rain and gusty winds are promised.
I shall be MIA until the end of the weekend. If I survive all that's planned for my enormously big birthday that is! Today DD and I are off on the Settle to Carlisle railway, staying in Carlisle for 2 nights. Hotel and restaurants all booked. Train back Friday afternoon and meeting rest of the family in the evening for a meal in our favourite Italian restaurant. Saturday morning DD, youngest DGD and I are off over to the caravan for an early Mothers Day meal in the evening with her ex MIL. (we all still get along!) Back home Sunday morning and time to breath!
Take care all, with ((HUGS)) for all in need or want of them. Take care, be safe x

Good morning
Wishing TA the best of birthdays. Enjoy your time away and being thoroughly spoilt.
Sunny here, yesterday was very windy and it seems we have more to come.
I believe we are off to the diy in the next town today. It should have been yesterday but DH hadn't measured up for his materials. Whilst there I will pop into Morries to see if I can get one of the £2.50 chickens on offer. Then into Farmfoods for any offers, mainly the butter. I think we've got 5 shops in total to visit so tonight will be slobbing out in front of the tv. There's the other half of the pie I made yesterday for tea, so nice and easy.
I'm starting to waffle, so will wish everyone a good day take care all.
Hugs to dp1 x

The weather has been wild all night - strong blustery wind with hammering rain. My Freesat dish had been rattled enough to stop receiving the signal just five minutes before the end of Master Chef so switched to my iPad! Inevitable result.
Yesterday I ended up taking away the huge pile of soft plastics taken from the small barn as the bag was right in the way so took the cardboard stuff too. I feel so much better without clutter. No shopping done so feel virtuous. I got about three-quarters of the new spreadsheets done, closed two more rubbish saving accounts and then paid for my road tax. Between the road tax, service and MOT that's about £500 spent this month already but the car is sorted for the next year.
I had a wee fright when I saw that my fingernails looked blue 😯 despite being warm. I took off the nail polish (light pink with a top coat) and they were normal. The effect must come from the polish, no idea why. I'll do them again today and look out for the blue. Strange thing though.
This morning I've emptied the blooming set of drawers ready for my neighbour to maybe come on Friday to do some planing of them. I'm actually embarrassed about the number of woollies / jumpers that I have and there's another bigger drawer in the second bedroom to excavate. If I actually wore any of them it wouldn't be so bad but I tend to stick to the same half dozen.
Eggy breakfast and coffee had. The sun is coming out, pale blue sky and a top layer of white cloud all looks lovely though the forecast is dire for tonight into tomorrow again. I hope that everyone is safe and dry. Lovely to hear that you're training the new carers @RedRuby1231. Hugs to all.

Good morning all, thanks Gers. We have lots of stuff in DHs storage unit on a nearby farm that needs chucking out. We got a skip once a few years ago but it's full again. DS1 also has a smaller unit there - his is full of car parts. Hopefully some of that can go in the next few months as he has finally got a new engine for his 'almost' classic car & will start working on that soon. We are lucky that the farm is a small family one, known them since we moved into our 1st home and they delivered milk & they charge much less than a storage business.Sadly the farmer died a few years ago, just his elderly wife left but their son lives nearby so we deal with him now. Works both ways though, DH/DS2 will do odd jobs for them if needed.
Happy special Birthday to @TravellingAbuela .DH and I went on the Settle Carlisle train for my 60th,lovely trip, enjoy yourselves. Also Birthday greetings @IzzyBee , have a lovely day.
Freezer dig for tea!
Well I'd better get my day started, it's bright one minute, the next raining. Have a good day all.

Morning all from sunny but windy Mehefinland
Been mia for a few days so on catchup with all that's been happening. Hoppy burpdays to those who having them.
Noting much to report - been delivering newsletters and doing my usual litter picking stuff. Got a beach one lined up for Sunday and out to lunch with friends later that day.
Sleep deprived though -awake at 3am today and 4.30 am yesterday - starting to take it's toll now. Might need a snoozette later but I'm waiting for a call to say they are delivering my shavings order. Typically it has rained so I will have to wheelbarrow them from the gate to the barn as they won't get a vehicle in. The ground is all soft and soggy again - yesterday you could have driven a lorry on it!! At least it is only ten bales to shift.
A whole load of washing out on the line - hopefully with the sun and this stiff breeze it will dry ok.
Take careall, hugs and spoons as always
Mehefin aka Derek
