Do you have any idea of value? Doctor Who books can go for £1-2, or hundreds depending on the specific title and condition. If you know the value, and they're worth a decent amount it's a good idea to try the forums and reddit channels for the series to see if anyone is interested in a private sale.

If you don't know the value, you could try local specialist book shops if you have them, or look for sold listings on ebay. Just make sure you're looking at confirmed sales, and ideally get a few so you've got an average price.

I have sold many Dr Who books in my time, unfortunately unless there is something rare or collectable about them, there's no market any more.

Best place to start with sorting out whether are worth selling is top use Amazon and also Ebay sold listings. Put the iSBN into Amazon, see what they are selling for 2nd hand, you need to see prices of at least £3 to make money after fees- and then check out the ranking, anything over about 100,000 is unlikely to sell . This one for instance

Doctor Who: Magic of the Angels (DOCTOR WHO, 164): Amazon.co.uk: Rayner, Jacqueline: 9781849902861: Books

is listed for £2.68 2nd hand, but listing is

Best Sellers Rank: 302,180 in Books (See Top 100 in Books)

So I would bundle that one or just charity shop it.

Just to make sure check out ebay 'sold 'listings, but out of interest that same books is listed for £2.30 but that includes postage, so isn't worth selling.

There was a bundle of Dr Who books on one of the Antiques YV programmes recently - I think they made £10

It's a how long is a piece of string question.
If they have barcodes check them on Amazon (use the app and scan the barcodes in the search bar).

My son has just got into Dr. Who and I've been buying a few books, there are thousands of them out there. From novels to comic books to encyclopedia. I've paid under £1 and seen some for several hundred pounds.

As above very much dependant on which editions they are (Target books are popular), how many, condition etc. Dependent on where you live an auction house is a good bet especially those which deal in genre material. Vectis Auctions recently sold a collection for £500

Look at the completed listing on Ebay and that will tell you how many have sold (compared to unsold) and what price.

The last lot I bought from a B and M auction, admittedly a couple of years ago, cost me £8 plus buyers premium for a crate load. I knew there were 4-5 that would sell well in the lot, I think I sold 4, plus a couple of bundles and made about £35 in total, but the majority went out on freecycle as my local charity shops are now reluctant to take books.

Bought a couple of the Dr Who script type books from a book shop, £20 so I did a quick search on ebay to see
if it would be cheaper online but they were selling for over £100. I bought all 3 from the shop and sold the
other 2 for a tidy profit.

    Always worth checking book prices.

doctor who books have come down in value- i used to read the terrance dicks books not a fan of the more modern authors / as to selling doctor who the doctor who convention dvds are worth the most and the big finish audiobooks / trouble on ebay is if world of books and music magpie get them in stock they will undercut your selling price.

doctor who books get £1 each at bootsales and do sell usually to dealers who do the comic conventions
