is there any way that I can claim compensation if I lose the place that I am hoping to purchase?

maybe try contacting your MP - sometimes they can get things done that the general public can't. I wouldn't hold out any hope of compensation

Talk to your proposed lender, explain the position and ask what other evidence they would accept - eg a copy of your bank statements for a given period, the original documents you received confirming the starting amount of your pension, your P60 from last year, your self assessment tax return for 2024/25 (if you do SA) - there are plenty of possibilities.
A lot of pension providers only issue a payslip once a year, or if the amount changes appreciably during the year. Whether that applies to CS pensions I don't know, but it isn't going to be grounds for compensation, especially when there are other ways to demonstrate your pension income.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!3 -
Why are Capita unable to provide them ?
I get payslips for my (non civil service) pension from them……

Failing to supply payslips in advance of the pay is a criminal offence, AIUI. I was quite surprised how fast my employer jumped to correct the issue when it happened one Xmas. Maybe call the police?

It's a civil offence - but the requirement to supply itemised payslips applies to pay, not pensions. As I've already mentioned above, plenty of pension schemes don't send monthly payslips because there's no point in doing so if the amounts are identical or vary only by a few pence from month to month.

On what basis do you think there has been wrongdoing?
There is no legal requirement to issue payslips for pension income. That said, some will do a single payslip on an increase or upload a pdf version of a payslip into the pension holder's document library. Most do not, though. A letter usually suffices nowadays when there is a change.
There is a requirement to issue a P60, though.
In respect of your mortgage, the fact that you are being asked for payslips suggests either a misunderstanding by the lender of the income you have given (they think it's earned income when it isn't) or an error on their part
Pension income, if evidence is even required, normally relies on award letters, annual uprating letters, P60s and bank statements. Which lender is this as a request for payslips on a pension is not normal.

Payslips should be available to view, download and print via the online portal. Mine go back several years; at least to 2022. I stopped looking at that point. Sorry, didn't actually try printing but it looks fairly straight forward.

Standard Life insist on sending me (separate) monthly payslips for both drawdown and annuity payments. Unable to persuade them to switch to online or email or just stop.
Need a payslip from another pension in payment to check gross & tax code, no chance - only on significant change to amount in payment.

Given another thread on the subject, it's probably the online portal that's the issue
