Good morning
Thank you for the start @Gers
After two days of thick fog it looks clear today. Might have to get into the garden. The lawn is growing but far too wet to cut today.
Take care

I’m off out to a cleaning job soon I will have to let her know I will be there next week may as well go to work if I’m not away . Nothing much else planned today I will walk the little dog later I’ve got a small gammon joint in the slow cooker that will do for tonight and tomorrow and we will get sandwiches for a couple of days at lunch time a couple of meals less not to have to think about and a little gap in the freezer I will make peas pudding to go with it when I come back . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Much clearer and brighter here too - yesterday was very foggy.
For some reason I was shattered after yesterday’s work; did absolutely nothing after dinner other read a book which is very unusual for me. Bed before 10 but annoyingly woke every 90 minutes almost on the dot! Another work day the same today so hope I can stay awake.Best wishes to everyone and especially DP1, I hope you manage to navigate the appeal process and get your Mum’s care sorted

Good morning
Bright and sunny here. Yesterday whizzed by in a whirl of laundry and housework. No idea what today will bring, other than making a steak and kidney pie for tea.
Dp1, so sorry to read about the lack of empathy shown to your parents. Hope your appeal is successful.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all
Not so misty this morning but a bit cooler.
@dp1 I feel for you. Care seems like a minefield. Hope you get things sorted soon.
Quiet one today. Kitchen cabinets will get a spring clean and I might go out into the garden. A couple of things I want to move around out there.
Have a good day all x

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Nice and bright here too and we had the most glorious sunrise, the sky was bright red.
Unless I hear differently it's lunch with DF today. It was lovely and peaceful last week so we are hopeful of the same today.
DP1 my heart goes out to you, it's a heartbreaking situation you are in. I had a traumatic time with my own DM but you are having a double dose. I had already lost my lovely dad, too young, before we got to the stage you are in. I hope you get better help soon and your parents can be kept together.
Have a lovely day folks if you can, with ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care all, be safe x

Morning all
The fog has lifted and it’s not raining but it’s overcast and no sun due, I have two people coming today and we are going to a local town for a walk around the shops (one of my people loves shopping) and then a picnic lunch and a short walk.
I went to mums yesterday and she was very sore and stiff, we have arranged for an OT referral to see if she can get some aids around the house it may be time for a walker for her, she ate a good dinner and I made her one for today as well and some sandwiches for her tea.
DP1 does your mum have a care line in place ? A pendant thing that she can press if she falls, I know it’s not ideal but better than nothing. An other option is to self fund more care if they can afford it but it can be expensive, I hope you can get things sorted xx
Dinner tonight will be pork belly strips in a sticky sauce with rice and peas, I have done a shop for delivery tomorrow but I will need to update it tonight.
OH had the day off yesterday and built the cupboard under the sink in the utility, he has done such a good job it’s really lovely, we just need to put the skirting on and do a little bit of tiling and then the painter can come in, we are very nearly there.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all, thanks Gers. It's nice and sunny here, good after all the grey cloudy days. DH has taken the car back for them to fix the rattly metal thing that didnt get tightened up.He'll wait for it. I'm debating whether to take Ldog out now but I have an order coming between 9.30-10.30 so might be cutting it fine. Apart from that a quiet day ahead.
DP1, sorry to hear of your difficulties & hope you can get some help from CAB.
Tea will be something from the order.
Snoozer, seems to makes sense to sell if the Y house isn't being used much.Glad you're feeling a bit better now.
My mind has now gone to mush & can't remember anything else so hugs to all in need & take care.

Morning again - sending huge love @dp1 for your awful situation with your beloved DM. I was touched by you remembering mine. I too haven't got any advice apart from going to CAB and offering up thoughts for a better response. There's an article here and a short thread here too.
Yesterday morning was a whirlwind of activity, well, not quite a whirlwind but certainly a gale! First thing to docs to hand over yet another sample, took money out of slot and then fuelled the car (four hours later the price went up by 10p a litre) and was back at home in time for the garden chap.
We worked like Trojans for two hours clearing out all manner of stuff from the small barn. Star shame was a storage box with four bags of oats BBD 2016. 😯 He put out a load of my unwanted items at his front garden and offered them on the village FB group so much was snapped up. Other things are going to the tip today. Having it all gone is such a huge relief as the barn was so full of the mostly unwanted. Two battery lawn mowers gone too, I've engaged the chap to cut the grass every three weeks.
I collected all the soft plastics and cardboard which I'll take to the dumpsters and then the barn needs swept out, there's so many mouse droppings, leaves and so on. Not today though.
What a lovely surprise @TravellingAbuela - I looked up that birthday box, everything looks yummy!
Hugs to all, xx
