Definitely. It's LIVE TV and anything on iPlayer and that's whether it's on a TV or your laptop or phone. And don't be surprised that you get occasional letters saying you need to get a licence again. You don't if you're following the rules. They just have a habit of harassing people. And they might send someone to check too but you are under absolutely no obligation to let anyone into your home.
Plus side is that because you are paying 6 months in advance when you cancel your licence you should very quickly get a refund of about £90.

They also ignore repeated submissions to say no licence is needed, at work we don't watch TV (amazing I know!), we don't have a break room and only a big TV used for training/conferences which is hooked up to a device for Teams meetings. We keep telling them we do not need a licence and they keep sending stupid threatening letters warning of visits etc.

The people who pay my salary generally prefer I spend my time, you know, doing what they pay me for, not watching TV. A few minutes break on MSE is about all I do
