2 PCN from DCBL Ltd

Hi All,

I have received 2 letters from DCBL Ltd in the past couple of weeks in regard to 2 separate PCNs. I never received the original PCNs as I moved address and I didn’t update the details with the DVLA for a couple of months.

Just want to point out that I live in Scotland so I know the process is slightly different.

The first letter is for a PCN for Puregym. Members get free parking as long as they put their reg into the tablet on each visit which I wasn’t aware of until looking into this further. I was a member at Puregym for a few years and never put my reg in. I was wondering if I could get some advice on how to go around this as I don’t want to say the wrong thing and end up with hundreds of PCN’s due to never registering my car.

The second letter is for Moxy Hotel. I was parked in a disabled parking space for 15 minutes as I was picking up a friend and there were no other spaces left.

Would I be able to get these both cancelled and how would I go about this in Scotland? These PCN’s will be a few years old now. As I never received the original PCN’s I do not have any details.

Thank you in advance.

Just Ignore them, simple as that ( dont overthink this )

  • They have advised if they don’t hear from me in 14 days that they will advise their Scottish partners to take further action. Will this get taken to court if I don’t try and cancel it?

LOL, DCB Legal don't have Scottish partners and NEVER litigate in Scotland.

    IGNORE THIS COMPLETELY.

But be aware the law is changing in about a year because you are getting keeper liability, for new private PCNs in the end.

Tell drivers in your family to be more careful and avoid ANPR car parks. Wherever possible, park on street in future where ANPR use is heavily restricted.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
