30 Hours Free Childcare
Situation is husband (self employed) earns c £15k per year per ITR, wife (self employed) earns c£8k per year, both parents work in farming and work well in excess of 16 hours per week are they eligible in this circumstance to claim for the 30 hours free child care or are they prevented from doing so because the lower earner doesn't meet the equivalent of 16 hours per week at minimum wage. Is there any mechanism to take account of fluctuation profits

My apologies, this subforum is focused on child support (as in child maintenance between parents).
You'd get better advice in the benefits/tax credits subforum - I've requested this thread be moved

There is but the annual amount has to meet the eligible amount.
Income less at one time of year but over the next to average out to the minimum wage.
