What's the risk in switching?
My Octopus fix is ending in April - I asked them for a quote for a new fix yesterday but it's not competitive.
So, I had to make a decision. Grab a fix elsewhere now (before they might be pulled) and protect myself from any hikes prompted by the goings on in the world, or, hang fire and see what happens over the next few weeks.
I opted to switch, going for the Eon Next 15 month deal. My rationale? I've only risked the £100 exit fee if things improve. If they worsen, I'm in the money. More importantly I've got great peace of mind for a maximum potential loss of £100.

Unlike Octopus who charge exit fee for change of tariff Eon Next often let its customers change to another tariff without paying exit fee, worth looking to see if they say exit fee if change supplier.

Switched to Electricity Eon Next 15m v7 deal a few days ago and in the welcome pack it does use the phrase under exit fees “if you change supplier” £50.
