Car Finance Claim - Married
Hi,
not sure if anyone would know the answer but since I’ve put my car finance claim in I’ve gotten married.
Would this affect my claim and if I’m due any compensation would that also be affected?

There's no reason marital status should have an impact. Do you have any specific concerns?

when I took the car finance out it was in my maiden name and the claim will be invalid as my name has changed or the payment would be rejected.

presumably they will still have your contact details so once there's a payment on the horizon you can prove you are the same person. Lots of people get married and change their names and most organisations cope with this reasonably well.
