Have I missed the boat?!
I am currently on standard variable/price cap with EDF energy. Not keen on changing supplier. Have they pulled their fixes from last week? I can see they are currently offering Simply Fixed 2Yr Mar28v3 from what I can make out this matches the April price cap. What do I have to lose. Am I missing something?!

You will probably best served by staying on the SVT. It will go down in April for 3 month. Whether we'll be around in July to see what's available is a moot point.

Here's my thoughts on this. It all comes down to your attitude to risk and whether you could afford it if the EPG returned.
You should decide based on your circumstances.

12 Month EDF fix is available, cheaper fixes elsewhere for people happy to switch 😀

The Outfox fix is cheap, but it's a gamble on whether they will go bust during the year.

Outfox founded 2017, did not go bust during previous energy crisis,

if the EDFSimply Fixed 2Yr Mar28v3 is being promoted as matching the energy price cap for April and the price cap is set to reduce in April the fix wouldn't be more expensive now or am I missing something?

I dont see any reason for Outfox to go bust. They've managed to weather the last cullings of energy suppliers. As it happens I have a fix with them until June this year which is saving me around £500 compared with the current SVG. Even their cheapest fix will cost me around £350 more so I'm holding on until winter is over and hoping that it will have all calmed down by then.
