Morning all, thanks @AA for today's start. Be careful on that stepladder!
We're in for a mainly cloudy day here with drizzle possible at anytime between now and mid-afternoon but at least daytime temperatures are reasonable. Not that it matters, I'm not going anywhere today. Last night felt rather chilly and I was glad I haven't put away the sofa throws yet.
I've nothing in particular planned for today but will be cooking some braising steak rescued from the freezer to have for dinner with potatoes and the remainder of a cauliflower. Also, there's some risotto left over from last night to make into arancini. What I do with the afternoon will depend on my mood. I have a choice of framing and hanging some photos, attacking the sewing pile or finishing the outlining on a piece of cross stitch. Of course, I could do none of them and just chill out instead. 😁
@Rosy - Sorry to hear your car is still poorly.
@Ruby - Glad you had a lovely birthday, I just wish the pub meal had been more to your liking.
Take care and have a good day, thoughts with those facing upsets, illness etc - have a hug. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.8 -
Good afternoon
Dry and cloudy outside. Dinner in the oven, roast gammon, roast potatoes and cauli cheese. DH is outside cleaning the garden, , he should be but he's chatting with Mrs ND, no doubt putting the world to rights.
No word from DD, maybe no news is good news, she'll tell me when she's ready.
Dp1, hope you're OK, and mum and dad are settling in.
Have a good day all, take care.

Hi everyone,
At last I am beginning to feel a bit more human. My temperature has come down for the first time in days, I finished the antibiotics today so fingers crossed they have done the trick today. I'm itching to do things but I know that I'll regret it if I do too much.
Ruby, belated birthday greetings, I'm sorry about the meal, it's annoying when they don't list ingredients. I can't eat peppers (capsicum not black pepper), it's not a proper allergy but they upset my stomach so that they are all I can taste for hours after and I don't enjoy the taste.
dp1, I hope things are starting to settle with your parents, what a worry for you.
Hugs to anyone that needs one.
Have a good day, what is left of it.
