Another simple delivery price change?

Anyone else noticed this?

List a large letter/<1kg item at (seller receives) £100.00 and postage is £2.70.

List it at £100.01 or more and the postage jumps up to £3.42

That presumably corresponds to the royal mail compensation limit of £100 for tracked 48 so I guess ebay are taking some extra for 'insurance' themselves.

Don't remember it doing this before though?

I would presume it would be signed for? My understanding is a regular large letter wouldn't cover anything like £100 compensation.

EBay will almost certainly have negotiated their own rates for Rm postage, so it’s difficult to match it against what a regular customer would have for compensation.

I was going to say the same. My Tracked 48 compensation on my RM account is £150, I can't imagine Ebay wouldn't get a better deal than I do.

It's always been like that, eBay charge a different rate for items over £100
