It's just getting light here, I don't know what the weather is doing - yesterday it rained.

We are going off on our little holiday in N Yorks this morning, we're really looking forward to it.

Dp1, I'm really sorry about your parents, hope they can be found a place together.

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Have a lovely breakaway in N. Yorkshire. RUBY have a lovely birthday and how thoughtful of O and his DM. Thoughts still with DP1 and I hope the situation is getting sorted.

No sm shop today as DS is on his way to Lanzarote for the elderly men's stag do! Back Tuesday night. As I will be away more than here this coming week there is nothing I need and I doubled up on a few essential items last week.

Yesterday it felt chilly all day but it's supposed to be a bit milder today and no rain. As going nowhere I think today may be the day for a ruthless wardrobe attack! It keeps getting postponed and I want it done before the better weather arrives. That's assuming better weather does arrive!

Happy birthday Ruby, and happy holidays to Scarlet.

Weather looks much the same as yesterday, dull and cloudy. DH did go and get fuel, but of course it was his idea, and he didn't know why I was panicking as there wasn't any queues at the petrol station. Men!

My DD rang me in the afternoon, reading between the lines it sounds like she has problems in her marriage, but until she wants to tell me I'll just keep worrying. It seems to be affecting dgd as well as she is refusing to go to school again. I can only be here for her.

Burgers for tea, nice and easy. I've got some milk in the fridge that's past it's best, so I'll make a cauliflower cheese ready for tomorrow.

I’m hoping to do the weekly SM shop today. DH has a few jobs to do at the school, then we are at the theatre this evening with DSis and BIL. Dinner will be out at B!lls.

morning everyone happy birthday Red Ruby and happy holidays scarlet I hope the weather is good to you we had a fair amount of snow yesterday but it stopped by lunchtime it’s nice and bright at the minute hubby is playing golf little dog is snoozing so it’s nice and peaceful. I’ve got a small load in the washer which I will hang out soon and I have some housework to do we need to fill up the car later the dog needs some treats and I’ve seen a little harness for the car for her that I think will be better than the one she’s got less strappy it doesn’t matter she will hate it anyway. Remmie you never stop worrying about children but like you say when they grow up you can only be there for them . DP1 I hope your parents are settled thinking of you Coxy enjoy the theatre Gers I hope you are home safe and tucked up in your nice warm bed . Thinking of all, the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning All

Very cold this morning but gloriously sunny and hardly a cloud in the sky for the second day running! One load of washing is out on the line, the bedding is just about to finish.

I have my friend's DD staying for a few days as it's her Dad's 60th birthday and there are relatives staying at their house. There was meant to be someone else but they aren't coming now. I don't think I'm particularly noisy but everything I've done seems as if it's really loud and I'm trying to creep about!

I've lit the fire already this morning as there's no heating or hot water, I had to boil the kettle a few times and put a large pan on the hob to heat enough for a sort of shower last night. The heating engineer should be here this morning which is good timing.

Sorry your DD is unhappy remmie.

Thank you for the Birthday wishes 😃 dd left home very early for work but should be home for lunch time and OH is still in bed, he has had a really busy week, dd left a card on the side and we will do presents later, we are going to the pub tonight for dinner and a couple of drinks so should be a good day.

It’s overcast here today but no rain due, I have some bulbs and seeds to plant so will do that tomorrow when it’s meant to be sunny, today will be a quick tidy round and then have a relaxing day.

We have booked our flights to our Greek island in August and the accommodation and quad bike 😬 need to do some serious saving now, I can’t wait to be back there.

DP1 I hope things are as ok as they can be xx

Camelot I hope you can get the heating etc sorted xx
