I don't know exactly what you'll be able to do or at which times, but this epic period of 'overnight' disruption is 'overday' too!

I do wonder if it was originally planned for late Saturday night into early Sunday morning and they pushed back the start time to 1am and forgot to update the day. It would seem problematic to disrupt people logging in or making payments potentially all day tomorrow.

My suspicion is that somebody was tasked with informing us that it was just 1am to 6am both mornings, but it was at going-home time…

    They've already corrected it:

OK thanks, I meant to post this thread this afternoon but only just got round to it, not least because I have been emptying my Santander MS in readiness for renewal. They must have noticed the error but offer no apology.

I've amended the thread title so others don't needlessly alter their schedule.

I raised this with the Santander complaints team at 10:00 06 March …

    • method of push notification for maintenance is behind login (no-email)
    • short notice (it was not there at 10:00 05 March)
    • lack of knowledge and impact assessment for a significant outage

I received a call from the complaint handler at 17:30 suggesting assisted telephone banking would be available as standard. He was unaware that the message had changed (or was in the process) seen when I logged in at 18:00.

Online banking payments, both Santander and Cahoot) were working at 06:30 07 March.

There were some routing outages earlier today, which meant some sites that were up and running were not necessarily reachable, depending on your internet provider. It was short-lived.
