Composite Door

Hi, I am looking for advise. I had a new composite door and frame installed in January 2025. Unfortunately since installation we have had a draft coming through where the door latch is. We have had our fitter out several times and the manufacturers out a few time's to no avail. In September 2025 I was told that the manufacturer had decided they would replace the frame only. Which was done this week (why it has taken 5-6months is beyond me) but we are still having the same issue. The fitter is saying it just needs adjusting we'll get it right but I find it odd that islts in exactly the same area. Is there anything else I can do.

How was it purchased? Did you buy it and pay someone to fit it, or did you pay someone to supply and fit it?

I paid someone to supply and fit it.

That's helpful, it means you only need to deal with the fitter. Write to them, telling them what your expectation is, and by when. If they won't deal with the problem, you'll seek an independent fitter to quote to resolve the problem and pass the bill onto them.

If you paid any part of the cost on a credit card, the card company is jointly liable, but I'd lean more heavily on the fitter first.
