HSBC Premier MyAccount and Premier MySaving
I have just received letters addressed to both of my children with these accounts that they will be discontinued from the 11 May 2026.
These accounts were offered to childrens aged 11 and above of a parent with a Premier account.
The main benefits, which are all being discontinued, were:
- Premier Global Recognition Status (being able to access Premier services at HSBC branches worldwide)
- Access to emergency cash service (£500 whilst in emergency needs abroad)
- Call routing back to your conuntry of origin by telephone.
They were nice to have benefits for childrens on a school trip for example, so a shame they have decided to discontinue it.
Accounts holders will be moved to the standards MyAccount and MySavings accounts from 11 May 2026

Received too
Must have cost them a fortune /s
I wonder who makes these decisions, and are they sure the savings are worth the perceived value drop with precisely the band others are throwing £4-500 to attract? Feels very penny wise pound foolish.
