Vinted for raising funds for church?

Trying to research this but really not sure how to go about it. Wondering if anyone has done something similar. i get so far with help topics but then worried i’ll press something and mess up my own vinted account.

As a bid to raise funds for church we’re looking into selling on vinted(other places too but hoping to start with vinted first)

The church is not registered as a charity because it’s income is below required threshold. Is there a way to set up a vinted pro account for it?

Want to steer away from someone opening a personal account due to numerous reasons including HMRC.

eBay should be OK but you’ll struggle with Vinted. On Vinted they need quite a lot of business information, they aren’t geared up for charities etc, they need at least a UTR or other tax business registration , full ID and often digital ID after a certain time. AFAIK it’s really just private sellers and sole traders.

As you say, if this is done in a single name then the person supplying their own ID will get it all declared to HMRC personally.

Thanks for the reply Soolin. Vinted does say non profits (not just charities) can be pro sellers but like you said it’s the paperwork and hoop jumping that is needed.

Just annoys me that they do a donate option but you can’t choose which one!

I think they should just have a clothing table top sale as i’m sure it must be easier than uploading stuff on vinted!
