Price history of properties

Does anyone know if Property log is safe to use - I am wanting to see history of properties for sale particularly on Rightmove because also when the agent reduces the price you can't see when it first went on for sale

    Seems to be OK .

I think ( not 100% sure) if you use it frequently, they want you to pay a subscription fee.

You have to be careful looking at historic prices of houses, because you don't know the details at the time - could have been sold as a doer upper, then next sold as a done upper etc. If you are just tracking newer to the market properties, I'd say a spreadsheet is all you need.

If the App is in the Play store, then it is pretty much guaranteed to be safe - Google claim to do thousands of checks before any apps are put on there. I'm always wary with apps that have to be downloaded from a separate website though.

I think Property Log only looks at the asking prices of current properties for sale?

So you can see the history of any changes, when it first went on the market etc .

Isn't Property Log the app Crashy was always recommending? If so, that might colour my opinion of whether to use it or not …

    It was.

Things seem to have gone beautifully quiet on that front since his latest reincarnation was (ahem) 'retired'.

I thought they had gone quiet……

In fact I downloaded Property Log as an extension for Right Move. It is quite useful if you, or a family member, are house hunting.

Check if the listing is also on Zoopla. You can see what it was listed for before reduction. I found the house I am purchasing on there. Could see it was reduced on rightmove, checked it on zoopla and it showed me two reductions at 10k each in the last 7 months to inform my offer accordingly.
