Smart Meter with two separate suppliers?

Octopus and B.G were able to connect to Gas S/M when Electricity was elsewhere, SP were not able to connect to Gas S/M when I had both fuels with them.

There shouldn't be any problems in terms of the tracking of use and billing - because each meter will have a single supplier, Fuse for Gas, Octopus for electricity.
Your In Home Display might not work as expected though.

When it works, it works. If something goes wrong, the comms hub on top of the electricity meter will be maintained by your electricity supplier, but the gas meter will be maintained by the gas supplier. And don't expect utility companies to talk to each other ever.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
