Wrong tax code overpayment

Sounds like there is a mistake on your P60. What does your personal tax account show?

They show the same figures, but the final payslip was issued a few days before the payment date (Fri 27 March). My rebate from Aptia was in my bank account on 26 March.

My PTA shows the the correct net figure as the total, but as previously noted this is not the sum of the individual months.

So what do you think is actually wrong?

Gour P60 is usually a copy of your last payslip so will not show a ta x rebate made outside the last payroll run.
About PTA will show the correct information and that is what HMRC will use for any assessment.

I had thought that my P60 was the summary of the tax paid during the year.
Clearly I have misunderstood this so it is me that is wrong.

It is the final situation. So if an employer or pension payer deducted tax from one payment then refunded it all as part of a later payment then the tax deducted would be £0.

Thanks again.
The tax refund from Aptia was a single payment to my bank account. There was no accompamying payslip advice, and it did not appear on my P60.
This all seems a bit odd, but the correct figure does appear on my PTA online.
This whole situation appears to have made my P60 a completely redundant document, giving me no more information than my final monthly payslip.

You could ask Aptia for an amended P60 showing the correct amounts.

I think this thread would benefit from some actual figures, even if not the genuine ones, some that would help us understand what you think the real issue is?
Most people would expect their P60 to reflect the year to date values from their final payslip.
