It's fine and windy here, chilly though.

Rosy, breaded lemon sole fingers sounds nice, did you make them yourself?

Glad Mr WL is doing all right after having teeth out.
Hope your dad is ok Coxy, it's a worrying time.

Good afternoon
Bright and sunny, albeit a little bit chilly. Yesterday's visit to the eye clinic went well, and after all this time I've got a date to have the other cataract done, 2nd April. So there's 4 weeks to get everything in order, last time I only had 4 days.
DH has gone to get BDs food, the sack is too heavy for me to lift. It'll be interesting to see what else he comes home with. Pork chops for tea, undecided what to have with them.
Happy birthday to Mr Izzy
Hope you're soon feeling better Snoozer
Mehefin how lovely to have alpacas so close.
Have a good rest of the day all, take care.

Afternoon all. We have another lovely day here of sunshine and blue skies, feeling a tad warmer than yesterday too. It's so nice to have the windows open for fresh air and not need the heating on so much. Last night I had a full 8 hours sleep with no loo break and feel all the better for it after the last few hectic days.
This morning I've done another wash load that's drying outside (another bonus), although not in the official drying yard because things tend to go walkabout from there. Instead, it's hanging on the airer on the patio outside my living room where I can keep an eye on it. That does mean I can't deal with the weeds between the paving slabs today but we're promised another nice day tomorrow so maybe then. We're having a salmon salad for tea and I might have an apple pie with custard for afters. DS is doing OK although I think it will be a long time before he 'mends' properly but, as he says, it's not his first rodeo. We get along together well and I don't mind him being here but I'd hoped he would be settled by now (he'll be 45 this year). Maybe he just has the knack of falling for the wrong ones or he's destined to be a confirmed bachelor. At least I know he can cook, clean etc and generally fend for himself so I've done something right! 😂
@Gers - Good to hear the MOT went well, have an enjoyable time in Birmingham.
@camelot - I hope you can collect your car today, good luck with Saturday's boiler appointment.
@Chrisca - Nice as it is, decorating the living room doesn't in any way make up for a cancelled holiday, I really hope you can get a refund.
@TA - Yes thanks, I'm having a much more peaceful and chilled out day. Is it the 99p shop in Otley that's moving to new premises? Or am I thinking of the wrong shop?
@Izzy - Happy birthday to your DH. I hope you enjoy your lunch out tomorrow - fish and chips sounds good to me. 😄
@WL - Good to hear your DH is doing so well after the teeth extractions.
@mehefin - You do keep yourself busy! I had a little smile when you said Mrs M is still with you, DH is still with me too.
@snoozer - Healing hugs coming your way, it's really draining when energy and enthusiasm desert you.
@Rosy - Good job you've still got the camper van.
A wave to our MIA, I hope you're all doing well. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.10 -
@YorksLass Yes spring is definitely here. Lovely to see the daffs and hear the birdies in full song. I have got the refund for our holiday thank goodness. It's just the tickets we bought to go up the Burj Khalifa. We thought because of the situation they would refund us. Not looking that way though grrrr
