Freesat is going to be HD only: http://www.freesat.co.uk/home.php
Rubbish, Freesat will show the free SD channels as well (over 80 of them)0 -

So you will need a Freesat receiver and HDTV.
Absolute rubbish, why post something that is just misleading and inaccurate?..... get your facts right.

If it's a Sky Digital dish, you can pick up a secondhand Sky Digibox from Ebay as some people sell them after upgrading to Sky+, should cost £30-£35. You then ring Sky for a Freesat card, that'll cost you £20. Hook the Sky box up to the dish (I'm also assuming it's still wired) and ring Sky with the serial number of the Digibox and the Freesat card and ask them to pair them up. You should then get all the Freesat channels if the dish is aligned correctly.
Do a google search for Freesat channels and you'll see what you should get.
Also as far as i know, you dont need to pair the card to the box,
Its only for a sky sub with movies or sports that it needs pairing.Things that are free in life are great, well most of the time :beer:0 -

It doesn't need pairing, but it does need activating.
Better option is to find a S/H Sky Receiver with an ex contract card in it ( Yellow House Type ) this will in most cases act the same as a FresatfromSky card, ie will give Ch4 , Ch5's and Sky 3.
It may take a few days left in the box to activate, but most will work fine.0 -
Hi,
you could rig it up as a large outdoor shower head, get it suspended level about 7 feet from ground, a steady water supply feeding into dish which will gradually drip through the tiny holes, et voila, you will be the envy of all your neighbours. :rotfl:
Wait a minute, wonder if I could get on Dragons Den with this 'invention', recycle satellite dishes. :rotfl:0
