Thank you for your concern for my Dad - he’s okay and about 1.5 hours from the base. Will wait to see what happens next 😱
We are going to look at cars today - can’t say I’m thrilled but ours is 10 years old so we don’t want to leave it too long. Will also visit a GC for compost and new bird feeders/bird food.
Dinner is burger in a bowl which DS2 will cook.
Have a good day all

Afternoon all, gorgeous day here. I went for a long dog walk this morning, probably out for an hour or so. Mr T has just delivered & thanks to Martins reminder ,I used nearly £35 of vouchers which got the total cost down nicely!
@TravellingAbuela , I know I'm guilty of not posting every day now, put it down to Dh being at home now and distracting me.
Yesterday we had to go to town to the bank to sort out DH damaged bank card. The queue was very long but eventually it was sorted by a nice lady. Then we went to a new coffee house in a lovely old building that used to be a jewellers, I got my engagement ring form there 50+ years ago.We both used our bus passes, not been on the bus for ages. We didn't have to get DGS until 4, school footie practice, downside more traffic.
Gammon joint for tea.
Hope you are all well

Back again. Hire car returned but it was a bit of a farce. Not the hire company, the roads. No problem when we collected on Sunday but today we had to negotiate a myriad of cones and barriers that had appeared - we ended up driving round in circles (three times 😮) to get into their car park. Anyway, finally made it, ordered a taxi to take us home (very quick to arrive) but no sooner had we got in than I realised I'd left my bag (small shopping bag, not handbag) in the reception area so had to go back for that. 🙄 To say my brain is fried would be an understatement! DS said the car was a dream to drive and was somewhat loathe to part with it so I think his wish list might just have got longer!
Since getting home we've had lunch and I've had a bit of a catnap before putting on a wash load of whites, taking out the rubbish for tomorrow's collection and have prepped tea - a small pizza topped with extra cheese and the chopped up leftovers of the other night's chicken in BBQ sauce that we'll have with with a few chunky chips and some side salad.
The weather has been beautifully Spring-like today and there are even some cherry blossom trees beginning to flower. I hope tomorrow will be the same, I could do with getting out to clear the weeds between the patio slabs before they get any bigger. I've also spotted some cyclamen plants that I know I didn't plant but they're welcome to stay.
I've still to catch up with everyone's news but, in the meantime, hope you are all fine and having a good day. X
