Good morning all. I'm off early doors down to Glasgow for car MOT.

I must do some ironing today, and there's the usual household jobs.

Camelot, hope you can get your car sorted, the smell of exhaust fumes in the car sounds worrying.

Quick one from me as I'm taking the car to the garage and a colleague is picking me up so mustn't be late!

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Hope you have a safe drive down to Glasgow and the car sails through its MOT.

We are forecast a full day of sun! I thought we were escaping the rain yesterday but it found us mid afternoon.

It's lunch day with DF today. I meet her in town around noon but I need to go down a bit earlier as I have some meds to pick up from B**ts. I only ordered them from the surgery on Friday afternoon and yesterday I had a text from B's saying they were ready to collect! Good service! I'll have a meander round town whilst down but I doubt anything new will have opened, more likely is that something else will have closed.

YL I hope yesterday wasn't too upsetting for you and your DS. It's so sad when a relationship turns sour. COXY a worrying time for you thinking about your dad in Cyprus. Thinking of you.

Morning all

Just been watching a lovely pink sky - it almost tempted me to get up early, only almost!

Finished up with a bad headache yesterday, though after work I did manage a dog walk, some weeding and some sewing but then crashed. All better now ready for aniterh day in the college mad house!

The dry weather is much appreciated and some tiny inroads into a tidier garden have been made though/ it could really do with several weeks of work! I’m trying not to get too anxious about everything that needs doing which is usually what happens this time of year!

morning everyone thanks for the start Gers hope the car gets through it’s MOT alright. Coxy what a worry about your dad I have two lots of friends in Cyprus one couple just moved there last month it certainly is worrying times . I’m off out to do a cleaning job soon it’s nice and bright but it’s frosty . I get a new mattress delivered yesterday for our king size bed of course they won’t take it upstairs it came just after six last night you should of seen me and the hubby trying to get it upstairs it was a ton weight and there is a bend at the boy of the stairs we literally moved it inch by inch I’m the coldest person in the world but I ended up stripped down to my bra the sweat was pouring out of me trying to push this thing while he was pulling image the monkeys on the tea bag adds with the piano you push it I’ll play it but it’s done and apparently a good night’s sleep was had not by me the only one in the house with magic ears that can hear the dog wanting to be out at 3 and then 5 I give in . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Going out with DH later to choose some paint to pain the living room. He's taking this week off instead of the 2 weeks planned before holiday was cancelled so that'll keep him busy!

Good morning

Thanks for the start Gers, hope all goes well with the MOT.

Dry here but not as mild as yesterday, about degrees down. I've got an appointment at the eye clinic this afternoon, the one with "the" drops, so DH will take me as I won't be able to drive after. So tea tonight will be something quick when we get in. I've got a posh chicken and ham pie I got half price so will put that in the air fryer when we get in. Hoping the traffic isn't too bad as we'll be coming home in the rush hour.

Morning all

Wall to wall sunshine here today which is lovely, I have two people coming today and we are having a walk along the seafront then getting some chips for lunch and a look around the shops before coming home. I took O to his play last night, the whole cast were people with learning or physical disabilities it was an amazing evening and very moving it bought tears to my eyes 🥹

Dinner tonight will be macaroni cheese with bacon bits in, dd is working a late shift so just OH and I here for dinner, the shopping is being delivered tonight too.

Safe journey @Gers, hope the MOT goes well. It's a lovely sunny morning here with blue sky adorned with a few high wispy clouds and set to be dry all day. 😃

Just a quick one from me for now as we need to have the hire car back by lunchtime and want to use it for a couple of short errands before that. Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts; yesterday was obviously emotionally draining for all concerned but everything went smoothly. It's sad, I was really looking forward to having DS's ex as a DiL. Anyway, his stuff is in the spare bedroom waiting to be unpacked; I think we'll be able to find a home for everything but there are some things he's considering selling so not everything will be a permanent resident. 😁

I'll pop back in later for a chat but in the meantime wish everyone a good day. X

Morning all. Bright and sunny here at the moment.

YL: it's sad when that happens but hopefully the worst is over and at least he had you to come back to.

Coxy: hope your father is ok. We have friends in Northern Cyprus and also know of someone living on or very close to the base.

Ruby: that play sounds so lovely.

On other news: DH ended up having 2 molars removed yesterday! I drove up to collect him but he's been fine since, although looked a bit shell shocked when he got home. He's sitting here eating toast atm.

Yesterday I got out to cut down some brambles in the nearby pathway. So nice to have a dry day.

Some pork steaks going in the slow cooker for dinner and I might make a lemon drizzle cake.
