Annual travel Insurance Renewal and cut off dates

I took out an Annual World Wide policy that expired 28/02/26.

During the period when the policy was valid I booked a trip to Australia via Singapore and returning via Dubai. The trip sarts June 2026 and ends July 2026

I took out a new annual WW policy with a different company on 26th Feb 2026 starting 1st March 2026

Since taking out the policy Dubai has been under attack from Iran and the foreign office changed their travel advice to restrict travel to all but essential travel on 28th Feb 2026

If I change my trip to miss out Dubai can I claim my money back ? Which policy will be valid?

Thanks
