Railcard

I theoretically eligible for the disabled persons rail cart but my disability is severe OCD.

Because of this condition I am unable to carry cards such as a Railcard, bank cards etc. I also can't carry a phone. Traveling is already quite complicated for me but I wondered if anybody who has knowledge of this scheme would know if there is a way around it..

For example, my loyalty store cards that I have I just know the number and can use it without carrying the physical card.

I know it's a long shot but I thought somebody May be able to help.

Absolutely not, you would need to be in possession of the card when asked for tickets.

How do you even carry rail tickets then?

No, the card is has photo ID which is needed to confirm you are the person entitled to the discount, not someone else.

In any case how would you pay for the travel? Most don't take cash so would mean you have to carry a ticket / bank card / oyster.

Unfortunately you have to carry either a digital or physical version of the card so that anyone checking your ticket can check your entitlement to to the discounted ticket.

If you travel with a companion could they carry it for you, and show yours and their ticket together?

The digital card has photo ID but the standalone plastic version does not. You have to sign it, but I've never been asked for a signature comparison.

Signature removed for peace of mind

Both my plastic and digital cards have had photos.

This is tricky.. if you travel with someone they can be responsible for cards etc.. my rail card is on my husbands phone as well as mine..

I am not too familiar with how OCD presents itself so hope i dont say something wrong here
    - How do you carry money and other items.. is there a work around?
If its fear of loosing can you hole punch and attach to a bag by ribbon etc?
