Another one bites the dust DCBL
I received an email from dcb legal to inform me that their client has advised them to discontinue with their claim.
It was a parking ticket issued in 2022 in a pub car park which required you to input your number plate at the bar. I arrived with my disabled mum for lunch and we spoke to a friend outside who said it was really busy inside so we decided not to stay.
So parking, getting mums wheels out and helping her exit the car, walking to the front of the pub and being told it was busy, walking back to the car park and getting my mum and her walking aid back into the car took a total of 21 mins.
The signage said nothing about a grace period for deciding not to stay and entering a contract for parking.
More time was needed, because of my mums disability, to exit the carpark after deciding not to stay.
I followed every step on MSE thread ‘newbies’ for fighting a PCN so thank you to all who created it. It’s taken a few months of worry but it’s finally been discontinued!

Very well done, a great fightback and outcome. 👍
If you wouldn’t mind, could you please post up a redacted copy of the formal Notice of Discontinuance (N279) once received, then I can record your success story in the DCB Legal Discontinuance thread.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
