Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers. All seems calm outside this morning, feeling mild and it should generally be dry for the day although, as usual, the odd shower can't be ruled out.
As mentioned yesterday, DS is picking up the rest of his belongings from ex-DP today and has asked me to go with him as a witness. I don't think there will be any unpleasantness but it certainly won't be a comfortable experience. It should be a quick in and out for personal stuff with (hopefully) no bulky stuff - the spare bedroom that was almost empty is filling up. 🙄 I have no other definite plans for the rest of the day and, like others, am trying to keep away from the news. Dinner tonight is chicken drumsticks in BBQ sauce with chunky chips and some kind of veg.
The school run traffic seems to have died down so we're setting off now to do the necessary. 'See' you all tomorrow, have a good day and take care. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.11 -
@Coxy11 I'm another with lots of hand cream, there quite a few nice ones though that I'm loathe to pass on (L'Occitane etc).
@dp1 good to read the tiny one is settling.
@YorksLass hope today goes ok, and that you can squeeze everything in!

Afternoon All
Late from me today, first time I've been able to have a few minutes away from work.
Not a bad day, not raining at least, yesterday it didn't stop. I didn't bother going out anywhere as there was nothing I needed. I did, however, do lots of little jobs about the house including getting the dratted Sonos speakers all connected (a huge achievement for me, I usually give up where techie stuff is concerned).
My car is going back to the garage tomorrow, can't stand the smell of exhaust fumes whilst driving, it wasn't like that before it went in so something must be amiss.
Hope today goes well YL.
Sorry your holiday has been cancelled remmie.
Hugs to anyone in need. Take care. Xx

Good afternoon
Dry and sunny, hope it lasts. Later one from me, I did start writing this earlier but broke off to do other jobs (feeding BD, most important).
Scarlet, I'm another one who never has much to say. I'm hoping it's over the winter and things will pick up with the brighter weather. I haven't been able to meet up with my friend as before Xmas she had an operation on her arm, and after a longer than expected recovery she messaged me last week to say she'd had a fall and was off to the hospital to see if she'd done any damage. Thankfully not, but she has been told to rest.
Usual chores, vacuuming already done, for now as BD has started to shed his winter coat, so I may whizz around again later.
YL, hope all goes OK for your DS, and isn't too upsetting. We also have bbq chicken drumsticks tonight, with jackets and hm coleslaw (get me)!
Have a good day all, take care.

hello everybody - just a quick pop in from me.
Would have been Mrs M's burpday today and i just had to keep myself busy. So besides the usual stuff, I built a stile in the new fence ready for the tree planting tomorrow. Went to the Co-op with a bag of soft plastic and bought some flowers ( Gosh, what a price!!!) and took them down to MIL and GM's grave .Mrs M is still in the dining room waiting for an opportunity ) and the will) to do something with her. I Spent a little time there admiring the view over the Bristol Channel, then walked home and picked yet another bag full of litter on the lane.
Spent a bit of time with the horses and generally mooched about - a small snoozette may have been taken when I got home.
Choir this evening - so that helped to take my mind off things a bit.
Gird up my loins for council tomorrow night- its all go
Oh and I've booked the hall and the ceilidh band for the ;libraries 10th anniversary bash in September.
Hugs and spoons as always
Mehefin aka Derek
