Morning all. The sun's out here so I've put a small load of washing on.
We were late back last night as there were diversions because of HS2 work. It was a fairly rural place so not many roads to choose from for diversions! A good evening though, with excellent food. I did 10 of the 20 dances and then played for the others.
Today I'll be shopping and stocking up on some softish things DH might fancy during the week. He is going to make some sausage rolls to go in the freezer for when the family come round on Mothering Sunday. I might make a lemon cake, as that's easy to eat with a sore mouth.
Best get going. Happy Sunday everyone.

Morning all - by the skin of my teeth! I've had a busy morning doing little tasks around the house. I haven't even got round to the spreadsheets yet. 😅 First thing the weather was dreadful though now it's beginning to clear. I've whizzed through the Brits and BGT - hated the Brits apart from Robbie singing Ozzy Osbourne and was in tears at the young magician who got the GB on BGT.
Yes, I always think of our lovely Dumpling each month and then at festive points during the year. She loved doing craft things to bring lots of pleasure to her family.💖
@dp1 - did you watch the Lowry Tapes on TV?
@Chrisca50 - such a shame about your holiday plans. The only upside is that you will get either a refund or new flight, not much I know. My family are due to fly out to Brisbane on 27 March so our fingers are crossed that all will be calmer by then. It's all very scary now.
All the lotions and potions from the GP are already beginning too soothe my sore bits, thank goodness, I'm already more comfortable.
Amazon customer services have been really good at sorting out a problem I had with a marketplace seller who was jerking me around for a couple of weeks, I've now got my full refund, plus return postage, in the bank.
Sausages and mash for lunch, probably with baked beans too, a plate of real comfort food.
Take care all, keep warm and dry. And no more falling over please! Hugs to all.

It's (a very late) good afternoon from me but thanks @Gers for the start off - glad you're feeling more comfortable and that your marketplace seller problem has been ironed out. Happy St David's Day to our Welsh contingent too.
Reasonable weather here today, dry with bright spells but there's still a nip in the air. It's been anything but a Slothful Sunday and I'm shattered - I keep forgetting I'm no spring chicken anymore. 😁 This morning DS and I went to pick up a hire car and were extremely pleased with what we got - only economy class but much better than we expected. We've used it today for a Sainsburys shop (very busy), followed by a trek around Wickes for DIY materials - I say 'trek' because it's a huge store. 😁 Tomorrow DS will be picking up the rest of his stuff from ex-DP, which is the main reason for hiring the car - any chances of reconciliation have definitely gone out of the window. 😥 Once that's done he can start doing all the admin-y things like change of address details, uncoupling finances etc while I find room for the rest of his belongings. Tuesday we'll take donations to the CS and pick up some meds before returning the car. Dinner tonight is an easy one, thank goodness - slices of cooked gammon, baby potatoes and the remains of the braised red cabbage.
@Chrisca - I'm so sorry your holiday plans have been scuppered, you must be really disappointed but, as you say, better safe than sorry. Hugs.
@camelot - Yes, DS is fine, thanks. If we had the hire car for a little longer I'd be tempted to have a trip to the seaside too - just for the fish & chips!
@dp1 - Glad you enjoyed the Lowry talk but what a shame about LO's sprained ankle and not being able to make the zoo trip.
Right, now I'm off to make sense of what I've spent on what and where today, it's certainly been an expensive start to the month. 😕 I think I should put my cards in water and freeze them! Take care all, enjoy what's left of the day. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.9
