I've just realised that I've probably got a different attitude to the OP, though I do appreciate his problem..
My first thought would have been to treat myself to a decent metal detector to see what other "treasure" was in there.

It took me most of Sunday to read through the Christmas campers thread. Thank goodness I'd already come across the dead dog one before else I think I'd still be catching up!

I assume that the age of the items that have been found rule out this as a likely possibility - allowing that the OP seems fairly clear that their sellers must have left the offending items.
