Vinted - No regulation??
I recently sold an item on Vinted and posted via Royal Mail Tracked. The parcel never reached the buyer.
Vinted have refunded the buyer, but have done absolutely nothing to help me! NOT a thing! I reported an issue when I knew the parcel was lost, and Vinted are trying to say I didn't.
Their customer service is shocking!
I now have no item and no payment for the item.
Are Vinted covered by any regulations? Is there anything I can do?

When is 'recently'?
And how was the postage arranged and paid for? If vinted arranged it you should receive your money (although it may take time), if you arranged it you will need to claim from royal mail, and you need to allow 7 working days after the due date;
"If the item hasn't been delivered
by the due date plus 7 working days
the
sender
might be able to claim for compensation. Check eligibility on our claims centre. "
In this case 'the sender' is the person/organisation who contracted royal mail.

Can't see what Vinted has done wrong. Up to you to pursue Royal Mail.

just for information, on Vinted the seller doesn’t arrange postage at all, Vinted supply the label and have the contract with courier.
OP if tracking showed item was lost then the buyer gets a refund but the funds for the sale are released to the seller. Vinted don’t make this clear, they just send a message saying buyer has a refund, but if you check your balance you’ll see the money should be in there labelled ‘compensation’.
My only concern is that this is RM, I stopped using them over 2 years ago on Vinted as I found the tracking quite often didn’t update , and this seems to be a common issue with Vinted RM labels. Does your tracking actually show item was sent and does it state item was lost? If not then unfortunately it is very likely that your money is lost. You could try using your receipt from RM to make a claim but anecdotally Rm are rarely interested when they realise RM provided and paid for the label.

I don’t know if this will work, but this is what the message thread on one of my parcels sent in January says :

Did you pay for the postage (via Vinted)? If so you should be able to claim from RM, what does the tracking state, it usually doesn't state "lost".

On Vinted the buyer always pays for postage. There’s no option for seller to pay.
Again on Vinted regardless of courier, the Vinted system has set updates, firstly it will confirm item has been accepted by the courier then tracking takes over. If item fails to continue tracking after 2 or 3 weeks Vinted put the message up about buyer and seller being refunded/compensated (see my post above) . Once that date arrives it is marked lost on Vinted and buyer gets a refund and seller should get funds released.

Did the seller use the vinted supplied label? The original post isn't clear to me.

I don’t use RM on Vinted but AFAIK theres no way of seeing the buyers address as the RM option on Vinted is a QR code only, and that QR code is only read when the label is generated at the post shop or post office. I suppose there’s a chance they have been scammed, and scammer just sent them their address and seller paid for postage out of their own pocket, but I would have thought the OP then would have been asking about scam protection, not basic Vinted protection.
DPD is the same on Vinted , i use that a lot and i never ever see a buyers address, i just hand the parcel over at shop, they scan the QR code and add label and give me a receipt with the tracking number, but no address.
