Not like a bank, no protection scheme.
Funds are "safeguarded" with banks who are protected.

I use Wise for sending funds from UK pounds to Euros (and in reverse), i also use if for other currencies also (Dollars and South African Rand)
So transfer/deposit your euros into Wise using the IBAN number (starts with BE) and then decide when to convert to £'s you will always get the mid rate or set an alert for when the rate reaches a certain value
You can also get a wise debit card so you can access cash at ATM's
