Land Owner says they have to appeal

Long time since I was last on this part of the board

The win will be very easy. Huge kick off in car park police called. Daughter told to stay put by Police exceeded time frame& got an invoice.

Easiest way to appeal was to the Land Owner I thought

Got this back

"We can try to  appeal the Parking Charge. As this is a  lengthy  time-consuming procedure  we have to make a small  administration charge.  Please find attached our invoice.  Once payment is received we will approach the Parking Company, "

What is the parking charge for; i.e what does it state on the PCN? Can you/your daughter get something from the police to confirm she was told to remain in the car park? Was it just her car or were lots of other motorists involved?

Cheeky landowner! How can it be a lengthy time consuming process - to send ONE email?

Just lifted this off one of the threads about it

one of this my craving’s fault for doing a good thing . 18 police officers plus armed police had to issue a dispersal order and then they went into carpark so they wereDispersed.

How much is the landowner invoicing for, to send ONE EMAIL to their own agent?

    Wow. This is atrocious.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

What's even more worrying is that they are requiring payment to "try to appeal".

Surely as the landowner they should be instructing their agents to cancel the Notice?

However - in writing that I'm sure I have seen a contract somewhere which basically gives the PPC operational control, and a fee is payable by the landowner for any cancellations it instructs. I wonder if something similar is going on here…

They want £25 to appeal with no guarantee of winning!!

A tempting offer, but I think I will refuse

Our Council needs all the money they can get so I will suggest they invoice them for not bothering with planning permission for the free standing cameras & signage

They cannot "appeal" on behalf of you what on earth do you think they would put in an appeal. As landowner they will probably have it in their contract that they can cancel so many PCN's per month but it costs them a fee.

They may even be using this as a lets make £25 out of suckers scam who knows!
