Well my tracker runs out in 7 days and just received this
I’m sorry this email is later than normal. We generally give you a few weeks’ notice of your tariff ending, but an error meant your email didn't send. I’m letting you know now so you’ve got time to stick with the tariff before your current one ends, and I’ll make sure this doesn’t happen again.I’m sorry this email is later than normal. Sadly there is no change in their link for tracker still Sep 25. Hey ho I may just roll on to SVT since the heating season is nearing its end, and will have plenty of time for the April shenanigans to go away.

As the change is advantageous to the consumer, simply do whatever calculations you do for budgeting purposes assuming that there is no change and put the excess in a savings account once the lower bill lands.

When I go to the Octopus website today and request a quote, I see it provides the cost details of their currently on sale fixed rate tariff wef 01 April (as well as the rates applicable up to that date)
Edit: it won't work if you are an existing customer, in which case pick a neighbouring address who is not supplied by Octopus.
It may not assist the OP today who appears to be on a historical tariff, but it seems the supplier is working hard to get details out in advance April 1st
Thanks to bill6262 for the heads-up

you can see all the Octopus tariffs in one place by going to the tariffs page and inputting your postcode rather than selecting the get a quote option.
I got the same email as @debitcardmayhem relating to the end of my Agile term last week - although oddly enough I realised that they were quoting my term ending on 1st March where the correct date was actually the 11th. Makes little difference as we’re still reliant on the same offering though!

But that doesn't appear to show the new rates effective April 1st (yet)

For a limited value of all. Some of my historic meter readings are no longer available on the octopus website. Electric goes back as far as Jan 2024, Gas to February 2024.
And, given my thread just started, how can we be sure that those numbers haven't changed in the meantime?

You can check the against your own records can’t you - then query it with Octopus if they have changed? Out of curiosity I just checked my account and my readings are there right through to when we moved in back in 2023, and everything looks to be in order. There will always be a slight discrepancy as chances are the time we might take the manual reading for our own records is unlikely to be the same time as the monthly reading recorded by Octopus - that discrepancy is likely to be small enough to be entirely insignificant though.
I think only Octopus are likely to be able to answer a question about your historic readings not being available. That said, it could simply be a glitch and they will reappear - that can happen sometimes.

Thanks for your input. Perhaps I wasn't clear that I take the readings from the Octopus website, not by opening up the meter box every day.
I'm not bothered by the lack of historic data on the website - I have made my own copy.

I assume that you do take check readings yourself on a semi regular basis though? Taking the data directly from the supplier is fine if you want a record of what they think your readings are - less good if you want actual confirmation of the fact! It doesn’t need to be daily, but in order to keep a check of readings -v- billings to ensure accuracy and nip any problems in the bud you’d be well advised to take actual physical readings from both meters at a minimum of quarterly intervals.

it seems to me that the Octopus account only shows reading for the current meter. So if the meter's replaced they remove readings from the old meter.
