When I started the online return process, I didn't realise I needed to click the credit card refund option, as otherwise the refund would automatically be processed as a gift card with a bonus of 20%. Hi. Yes my purchase was a 3rd party item or "concessionaire partner" as Debenhams call them. The gift card option is pre-selected so you would have to move the selector to original payment method.
Ive already reported them to the CMA about a month ago. Not for this but for automatically adding parcel insurance to the order. I noticed they have stopped doing this now and you have to add the insurance if you want it.
