hotel near gatwick/park and stay?

Live up North but flying from Gatwick with family down there in April. The flights been changed so will need a hotel on return before the drive home. Anyone any recommendations for either a park and stay, or parking, then nearby hotel to spend the night. I found one reasonable priced one but it had poor reviews and was slightly further away from Gatwick than we would have liked. Any recommendations? thanks

We'll be using the Holiday Inn London-Gatwick (the one in Povey Cross Road) later this year. 15 nights parking, overnight room, all for £178. Shuttle bus runs from the door every 15 minutes.

Many years since we had to do similar and after what ended up being a delayed 11 long haul return flight, the on site Sofitel hotel was the correct choice.

We stayed parked stayed at the Travelodge, it was really cheap £99 2 nights account 5 nights parking as I remember, but having never stayed in a travelodge prior, I'd pay extra for a different hotel in future.

But others may have no issues with said hotel

Thanks everyone. We have gone with the holiday inn. We got a good price. We can throw an overnight bag in the boot then get a few hours sleep before our drive up north
