Is it normal my parents LPAs are getting processed at different times

Hi all,

Both my parents are in the process of doing health & welfare and financial legal power of attorney with me being the sole attorney on each one.

When checking the status of each one yesterday all four LPA documents (2 each) said "Received" but today the status of the two LPA documents for mum had now changed to "Checking" whereas the LPAs for my Dad are still saying "Received".

As we posted my Dad's in one envelope and my mum's in another I just wondered if it was normal for some LPA documents to lag behind others when processing, even in the same family.

I'd hate to think there was a problem with one set of the documents and not the others.

As they get around 3100 applications a day I don't think it's surprising. No guarantee they were delivered on the same day or even same bag.

I wouldn’t worry. I had my health LPA processed before the financial one.

Last month I sent off both mum and dad's Health and Wellbeing LPAs. Despite going out together, there was something like 10 days lag between getting updates and responses for each one.
