Now read that slowly and repeat it back to me. I want to make sure you understood.
The LAW doesn't say anything about "capable equipment" - it is an offence to "watch or record live TV broadcasts" without a licence - no more and no less.0 -
Well they never caught you without a licence did they? And you've got one now so there's nothing to worry about.0

this is what I would like to believe but my worrying nature won't let me:p
I just hope while they are processing it, the emailed said within 3 working days, they don't come back to me and start asking me questions0 -
I haven't even got a tv and I keep getting letters and have had a visit card posted .Tbh I haven't got the funds to buy the tv that I am after anyway for at least another 2 or 3 months & because I watch Tv at mums it doesn't really make a difference to me as I only sleep at home.I only moved in early november and am positive that the last family living there never bothered tp buy a licence but they were sky digital subscribers.Love can tame the wildest0

i did not have one as i forgot it used to be upto my ex to pay it and to be quite truthful i had virgin and paid for that so i think its wrong u should have to pay a tv liecence but i an inspector knocked didnt tell me who he was till he was in the house checked to see if i could get bbc1 and bbc2 and told me i would need to get a licence.so i have done i now pay 5.50 a week.
i dont know if this is true but if u dont have a tv and your pc can get any bbc broadcasts u can also be charged a licence fee but im not sure how true this is.riley john born june 28th 2.35pm-8lb14.5 hour labour from waters to birth.0 -
also i have been told if ur tv is registered in the name of someone who already has a tv licence they cant charge you for one even if its a different address.
now im not sure how true this is but it only works if the person brought the tv and thier name is down as owning it.its worth looking into for some ppl i suppose:Driley john born june 28th 2.35pm-8lb14.5 hour labour from waters to birth.0 -
