Fuse - MSE cashback not paid
Hello,
I joined Fuse through the MSE cheap energy club because there was a £20 cashback. Without this incentive I would not have switched
This was in August last year. I have not yet received the cashback fron MSE. They just 'shrug their shoulders' and claim it's Fuse's responsibility. I also contacted Fuse, they'll 'investigate".
Has anybody had the same issue?
I am stuck in a marketing deal limbo between MSE and Fuse. But I think that it throws a bad light on the MSE cheap energy club and on MSE in general, as they purport to be consumer chamions.

I would suggest emailing MSE at energyclub@moneysavingexpert.com - they'll be able to assist

Not a great advert for Fuse.
You can leave penalty free 49 days early.
Therefore if you had a 12 month fix and you joined in August you only have another 5 months with them. At this point you can look at getting a better fix. From April 1st you should get some discount although not the full amount because Fuse do not pay the ECO scheme costs. Hope you get the £20 eventually.

I joined Fuse last August on a 13 month fix, August v3. I think I went via USwitch from an MSE link.. Can't remember any cash incentive on offer at that time, but I may have got an Amazon voucher ?
But I "saved" in excess of £120 pa compared with the fix I had been on briefly with EDF and ,for me ,anyway , that Fuse fix was comfortably better than anything else around other than Outfox the Market.
The issue I had ,was that Fuse put me on a more expensive deal - took several online chats to get them to honour the v3 deal.

This doesn't seem to have anything to do with Fuse (other than they have kindly agreed to investigate as the OP is a Fuse customer. I suspect, after investigation, they will suggest the OP contacts the CEC as the CEC is responsible for paying the cashback. But who knows? They may be be able to assist the OP in another way)
Cashback is paid by MSE (MONY)
I also suspect that as the OP is on an August Fuse Fixed tariff, there's not likely to be much hope of anything available today that will beat it. But the OP is with the CEC, so they will be able to see for themselves.
If the Fuse switch is still marked as "switch in progress" then the OP may struggle to switch again via the CEC, hence best that the OP follows my earlier advice.

Reading other forums (I'm thinking of signing up too) it looks like you may have to spin the wheel in the app to get the cashback offers
