Morning everyone and happy birthday Gers, I hope you enjoy your day x
Dull and dreary here this morning, it was pouring down when I went to bed.
I had little one yesterday afternoon, we had a nice visit to the library, she chose all non fiction books this time, mostly about animals and birds. Then we had hot chocolate and cake in her favourite cafe before we came home. She ended up staying for tea as DD was waiting to hear if she had to go and pick up their foster baby, she did so I had little one till about 7pm, very excited to go home and meet him but also a bit nervous.
I had a video call later on so I could meet him, little one was wiping his chin very gently each time he dribbled, he's a 4 month old boy, with a sad story, that's all I can say.
Little one is very excited for everyone to notice her mummy has a pram after school.
Redruby - you had a busy day with O yesterday, he will love having you looking after him.
Gers - your local primary school could be glad of the pens and pencils?
Right I'd best get my lunch made…hope everyone has a good day x

Good morning
Happy birthday Gers, have a lovely, lazy day, faffing around can wait, although I know what you mean. I've been going around looking at things that have been kept for no real reason, decluttering will be happening here, but I must say DH is the worst, getting him to get rid of anything is a job. He'd rather buy a bigger shed!
Rain is forecast this morning, spring is put on hold, plenty of jobs to do indoors. Belly pork for tea, with roasted vegetables.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all, thanks for starting us off @Scarlet. Happy Birthday @Gers, whatever you choose to do with your day, I hope it's a good one. 🎁
It's dry out at the moment, feeling reasonably mild with a light breeze but no sign of the sun. Shame, I was enjoying its presence over the last day or so. Mr Weatherman says to expect light rain this afternoon and into the evening with a repeat performance tomorrow. Oh well, it's still early days I suppose.
It seems as if the de-cluttering bug is getting to quite a few of us; yesterday I had a quick clear out session and binned one or two oddments, added two pairs of DS's jeans and a T-shirt to the CS bag (he does know 😁), shredded some paperwork and have put a spent battery from the mantel clock on the hall table to go to the Co-Op recycling bin when I next go there. Other than the usual daily stuff today, I need to use two small past-their-best bananas for a batch of muffins; they can go in the oven at the same time as tonight's 'bung it all in the oven' tea - chicken kyivs, oven chips and braised red cabbage.
Even if you've nothing in particular planned for today, I hope it will be a good one. Take care all. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.10 -

Two days of sunshine have been lovely back to overcast today. Been lovely seeing all our small daffodil plants coming out.
Have a good day all hugs to all who want them.

Good morning everyone
Sorry I've been absent for quite a while. Things going on in real life including a fractured elbow after a fall in the garden and a face that looks like it's done ten rounds in the boxing ring.
Just want to wish Gers a happy birthday and to all those who have recently had a special day and to those with one to come soon, the same to you all.
Still having problems with this new format on my kindle tablet but get there eventually despite some very strange words being produced.
Thinking of the sad, lonely and the poorlies as usual.
Take care all x

Hi all .. me again
forgot to mention the saga of the electric outage - it's all sorted for the time being. After a weekend of jury rigged socketry , mainly for the fridge and freezer, I spoke to an electrician Monday and told him what had happened and what I had done. He suggested pulling all the plugs out of the sockets. rather than just switching them off. Did this and the breaker went back to normal. then I put the plugs in one by one expecting to all go off - and it didn't😯 The jury is still out regarding what and where the fault may be. - at least i will have a better idea what to do next time
