Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
It's wet and windy again this morning, nearly got blown away when I went out to open the gate for the coal delivery.
Happy Birthday to Gers, hope you have a lovely relaxing day.
Glad you have a temporary fix for your garage doors Coxy, keep fighting! The cheek of the chap stealing the beer and crisps!
Hope all that extra money doesn't change you TA!
The little one came into school sporting her rather wonky tooth, she's finding eating and drinking a bit hard. DD took her to the dentist yesterday, he 'accidentally' knocked it but it stayed put! Hopefully it will fall out today. Her lip looks a lot better so not all bad.
I passed the garage that have my car and it appears to have moved, fingers crossed it's being repaired (or they don't want it clogging up the forecourt!
Hope everyone is well, take care. XX

Morning, thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons.
The rain has been hammering down all night with no let up in sight, the forecast is for worsening weather. Yesterday was more damp than wet, light drizzle for most of it. I didn't go out, did some more faffing around upstairs. There's so much unneeded stuff in my drawers that it's starting to weigh on my mind. A plastic box full of pens and pencils which I've kept from my full time working days which finished in 2014. I really like stationery but have no use for it anymore. And there's other stuff to which is heading out of the house. Next is the drawer holding assorted toiletries / plasters / lotions etc. which I've been avoiding for far too long.
I hope that everyone is doing well. Hugs to all.12 -
Morning Scarlet and all to follow
Happy Birthday to Gers have a lovely day xx
I am off to see O today we will try and get out for a walk, yesterday we went bowling and he had lunch at the bowling place he chose pizza which looked nice but was very hard to cut with the wooden knife and fork that they supplied but we managed, I then got him an ice cream which he also loved, he wanted to go to the cinema after but we didn’t have time so I’ve said we will go another time. His mum has asked me to take him to a play which he is in on Monday evening I don’t usually work evenings but she is really stuck for someone to take him so I said I will go.
The gardeners came to quote for the hedge yesterday and all good prices, when I got home from work next door had someone in cutting their side of the hedge, they are a funny lot they could have asked us to go halves with them which would make life easier for us both but we didn’t even know they were coming , they very much keep themselves to themselves.
Shopping being delivered later and dinner will be something included in the shopping, something quick as I am always shattered after a day with O.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET for kicking off. Happy Birthday to GERS, have a lovely lazy slothful day and leave the faffing about until tomorrow!
After a few Spring like days we look to have had a bit of drizzle overnight. No puddles but it looks a bit damp. Intermittent light rain and a bit windy is the forecast for today. But the higher temps remain the same so that'll do.
Usual Thursday jobs (kitchen and bathroom) planned for today and I really must do a prune of the wardrobes. There's far too much stuff that I "might" wear but never do. I must be ruthless.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. I hope the 2 little ones are doing ok too. Take care all, be safe xx

Many Happy Returns on your Birthday @Gers Have a good day x
2 jobs today vacuum pack the winter duvet now it's aired and deal with my new pillow. It's a pillow that you can remove the innards to get it to the depth you want! Removed some yesterday but it's still too deep so will remove some more today. A good idea but a messy job!
Usual houseworky things today too.
Have a good day all x

happy birthday @Gers Hope you have a good day.
DM enjoyed her birthday. Thank you for all your good wishes.I started jet washing and got a sore shoulder but it seems ok now. Might do more later - we have lots of paths and patio so I probably only did an eighth of it.
Bdog has a check up and vaccinations so that and a walk will be this morning sorted.
Take care all

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers Happy Birthday - hope you have a lovely day xx
We are off to Canterbury later for the theatre (twice in a week for me!) but will go early as we have a few errands to run and will eat before the show. DD and DS2 will fend for themselves but I did get 2 YS posh pizzas in Co-op yesterday so they can have those if they wish.
Glad you got O out yesterday @RedRuby1231 and hoping the evening request is a one-off x
Have a good day all

Morning all and a Happy Birthday @Gers , hope your weather improves, ours is another grey day.
I am off out for lunch with my oldest friend. Always feels a bit rushed these days with DGS finishing school half an hour earlier than he did at primary.
Picked up a meat pack from my butcher yesterday, & had a discussion with him and another customer on the merits of airfryers 😄
Starting to rain now which means Ldog will be reluctant to go out! Take care all.

Morning all from dreary Mehefinland
two goodish days of weather has flown past and back to the murk today. However the sunshine brought people out and was a good cheerup. Even managed an hour or two in the garden
Met the new neighbours and sorted them out some recycling bags. There is a huge pond in the back garden ( a previous owner used to swim in it!) and they were saying the previous night there were about 40 pairs of eyes poking out- lots of frogs or toads - the heron has become a frequent visitor so I expect they won't be there too long. On that note 'Hoppy Burpday' to Gers 😉
The contractor is coming on Tuesday to plant all my free hedging/trees - the ones I nursed through the hot summer are starting to coming into leaf so they need plonking in too - time is running out lol, but it has been so wet that the poor things would probably have drowned.
Choir x 2 this week as has become the pattern - very different singing experiences but both very enjoyable in different ways. The heating has failed in the church last night so we all crammed into an ante-room. It got rather warm!! But the accoustics were flat and the sound seemed very dull. Hopefully it will be ok next week. Seem to be booking up concerts for the one choir at a prodigious rate- they do quite a lot at care homes and the like. The other one is a bit more 'highbrow' .
Litter picking continues apace - 2 more bags already this week-it does make the place look better though. Just so annoying that it is necessary - the number of people who have said ;the council should do that' is unbelievable. I'll get off my soapbox now 😁
Hugs and spoons as always.
Mehefin aka Derek
