Yes, you read that right - Comet. They have come in for some serious stick so it is lovely to be able to report something positive.
Before Christmas we bought a Sony surround sound system for £199.99. We set it up, it works well and really enhanced our Christmas entertainment.
Then a couple of days after Christmas, we saw the same system in Comet reduced to £129.99. My husband was understandably upset at this but put it down to experience. Then a bill arrived. On the bill, in big red letters, was a statement from Comet saying that they will price match any item. My husband therefore decided to challenge Comet and request a £70 refund on the system. I was convinced that they would refuse as the item had been reduced in the sales and said not to bother. Regardless, my husband went into Comet today, explained the situation and they promptly and politely refunded the money.
Upshot is that we had the system all over Christmas, avoided the sales and STILL got the item for the sales price.
Thank you and well done Comet.
